The Myth We Sleepwalked Into:

Poem
Savvy babies struck by scrolls of data

savvy babies struck by scrolls of data,
cast their doubts on a pleasant fairy land.

unnerved by a predisposed parthenogenesis,
and martyrs bequeathing 72,

they outwait the sun – outwit the moon,
a sliding finger, goggle eyes immersed

on play – hauntingly broken when bleep:
indicates pending flatline –

a proliferative energy rush:
frantic faces ease rigid pins back into the circuit.
